1. BACKGROUND

In accordance with Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies with regard to the provision of electronic communication services set out in article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 of the 11th of July on information society services and electronic commerce, we inform you of the cookies used on the website of ADHESIVAS IBI, S.L. and the reason for their use.

  1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a file that downloads itself onto your computer when you access certain websites. Cookies allow a website, among other actions, to store and recover information on the browsing habits of a user or their device, and depending on the information they contain and the way in which your device is used, may be used to recognise the user. Cookies are associated only with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references which allow their personal data to be known.

  1. TYPES OF COOKIES
3.1. According to the entity that manages them
  1. Own cookies: These are those sent to the terminal equipment of the user from equipment or a domain managed by the publisher and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  2. Third party cookies: These are those sent to the terminal equipment of the user from equipment or a domain not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
3.2. According to the purpose

There are many purposes for the use of cookies. According to the purpose for which the data obtained from the cookies is processed, some of the purposes may be:

  1. a) Technical cookies: these are those that allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist on it, including those that the publisher uses to allow the management and operation of the website and enable its functions and services, such as, for example, controlling traffic and the communication of data, identifying the session, accessing restricted access areas, remembering the elements that make up an order, undertaking the order purchase process, managing the payment, controlling fraud related with the security of the service, undertaking the request for registration or participation in an event, counting visits for the purpose of invoicing of licences of software with which the service operates (website, platform or application), using security elements during browsing, storing content for playing videos or sound, enabling dynamic content (for example, animation for loading text or image) or sharing content through social networks.

Technical cookies are excepted from compliance with the obligations established in article 22.2 of the LSSI when they allow the service requested by the user to be provided, as occurs in the case of the cookies listed in the previous paragraphs. However, if these cookies are also used for non-exempt purposes (for example for behavioural advertising purposes), they will be subject to these obligations.

  1. b) Preference or personalisation cookies: these are those which allow information to be remembered so that the user can access the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, language, the number of results to show when the user carries out a search, the appearance or content of the service based on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which they access the service, etc.

If it is the user themselves who chooses these characteristics (for example, if they select the language of a website by clicking on the flag icon of the corresponding country), the cookies will be excepted from the obligations of article 22.2 of the LSSI due to being considered a service expressly requested by the user, provided that the cookies exclusively comply with the selected purpose.

  1. c) Analysis or measurement cookies: these are those which allow the party responsible for them to monitory and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impacts of advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of the website, application or platform, in order to make improvements based on analysis of the data on use carried out by users of the service.
  2. d) Behavioural advertising cookies: these are those which store information on the behaviour of users obtained through the ongoing observation of their browsing habits, which allows a specific profile to be developed to show advertising based on this.
3.3. According to the period of time they remain active
  1. a) Session cookies: these are those designed to gather and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information which is only kept to provide the service requested by the user on a single occasion (for example, a list of products purchased) and disappear when the session ends.
  2. b) Persistent cookies: these are those in which the data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, and which may last from a few minutes to several years.
